Long-distance move from Fairfield, ID to Ratcliff, AR

Very Good Company.

Throughout the entire process with Moving APT, I felt like I was in good hands. They kept me updated with frequent updates on the status of my shipment and were responsive to any questions or concerns I had along the way.

Long-distance move from Las Vegas, NV to New York, NY

Moving APT is a brokerage company NOT a moving company.

Moving Apt is a brokerage company. My move would be handed over to another company which I didn't know until the actual movers came to pick up our stuff. So here was my very painful experience with APT moving after booking my move with "them". Executive Moving and Storage picked up my items March 12th from my house and I was told multiple times that my stuff would arrive no later than end of March 30th, which the promise that they were actually scheduled for arrival on March 25th which was my move in day at the new location. My husband and called multiple times within the week they said our stuff would be in transit and every time we called, we got a different receptionist telling us completely different stories. The first call was that our stuff didn't leave yet and would leave within a few days, then the next call was that someone would get back with us the next day and never did then the next call was that they never said that our stuff would leave that week, but was under contract that it could only be delivered when we were officially moved in, which we never agreed to that. And again would never would have agreed to that since we needed our stuff to be arriving that very day of our move in which was March 25th. We called pretty much every day for over a week to try to pin down when our stuff would actually be in transit and finally our stuff didn't leave Las Vegas, Nevada until March 30th saturday after midnight, which was a complete contradiction of what was in our contracted and discussed with the people who set up our move from the beginning. Finally we were also promised that we would get updates via texts to tell us where our stuff was and none of that was done. My husband and I continued to call to see when the deliver would be arriving in New York and we could never get a straight answer, which made it very difficult for us to schedule a reservation for the moving elevator in the building. Finally the driver calls us Thursday April 4th and tells us that he will arrive Friday the 5th, but says that he can not deliver it Saturday the 6th, because he doesn't work Saturdays. He says that he can deliver our stuff on Sunday then on Sunday our building says they have no elevator free so the deliver guy says that he can deliver on Tuesday. We initially agree, but then he says that we will be charged an extra $350 for storage, which isn't our fault since we were free Saturday and he refused to deliver it to us. We finally talk to him again and tell him to talk to his "superior" at t.e moving company who sent us an email as well telling us that we would be charged $350 to tell them that we weren't going to pay, because he was causing the delay not us! Finally they dismiss the charge and our stuff gets delivered Monday April 8th which is 2 weeks later than what was promised on our contract that we had signed. That say our stuff was suppose to arrive at 10AM and the deliver arrive 1 hour late. He comes up to our apartment and tells us to pay him first. He adds an additional $200 to our initial bill and we don't really know why, at this point we just pay it, because we are running late for the next people needing the elevator. And my husband and come downstairs to the loading area, we see another guy there in a beat up U-haul truck. "Executive Moving And Storage" moving company is not professional at all. Yet again we realized that our move got pawned off on another mover, which was a guy and his friend doing our move. The delivery driver was very unprofessional, loud and rude. While our stuff was being moved into our apartment we noticed a few boxes got smashed pretty bad and my office desk was completely damaged beyond repair. The legs were bent in half and they were heavy duty steal legs. After all that was said and done the mover had the nerve to ask if we wanted to tip him. We also had to pay 115 for parking ticket. It is by far the very worst moving experience of my entire life. Please seed for yourself at fmcs.dot.gov.

Official company response

Moving APT is a booking agent. Our records show that our last communication with the customer was on 3/12/19, the day of their pickup. Our Quality Assurance Manager called the customer to confirm that their carrier had arrived and that all was going well. The customer advised us that everything was going "great!" The customer sent us a text message at 5:35 p.m. thanking us for our help, and this was the last time that anyone from Moving APT has been able to speak to the customer. Our Quality Assurance Department tried reaching the customer the next day and the following day, just to once again ensure that everything had gone well, as this is our standard practice. The customer did not respond. This was escalated to our Customer Service Manager, and our Customer Service Manager personally tried reaching the customer both by phone and by email on 3/15/19. The customer never responded to this either, and Moving APT was never advised of any complaint from the customer until now reading this review. Moving APT would have gladly stepped in and assisted the customer the moment we would have been made aware, and nonetheless, we are still here to assist the customer even after delivery. The customer may contact our Customer Service Manager directly at 786-528-6086 so we may assist them in filing a claim for compensation for any damage and/or delay they may have experienced with their carrier.

Recently I moved with Moving APT's services for the first time , and would absolutely recommend them! Their booking process is efficient, friendly, and responsive, and their help on moving day made what is usually a stressful day go by smoothly and so quickly. They were efficient, communicative, professional, and awesome all-around. I appreciate their thoroughness with the process and care with all the furniture. A serious huge thanks to the whole team at Moving APT!

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to New York, NY

Rude, incompetent, inhumane.

The subcontractor (Pioneer Moving) APT hired to do my job was an absolute scam and APT knew that. When my things were finally delivered (much later than promised) they had lost my table ($550), one wardrobe box full of personal things, and 2 medium size boxes. $3000+ value and a lot of personal memorabilia. No one has reached out to me. Before they take your deposit, they are going to be extremely nice to you. After they take your NONREFUNDABLE deposit, you become less than human to them. I had called with one request - that my furniture be delivered to my new city on or before September 27th as I was starting a new job the following Monday, September 30th. The rep I spoke with, Rachel Johnson, made multiple assurances that I was going to receive my things between Wednesday and Friday of that week, but "worst case scenario" was September 30th. Based on her promises, I booked a flight to get there Wednesday morning. Turns out, Rachel (and later her colleague Ron) were heartless salespeople not caring in the least about my new job and most of what they said was untrue. In fact, Rachel's OWN MANAGER, Jia, said that most of what Rachel had promised me was illegal. When I told Jia that she is welcome to listen to my recorded conversations with Rachel, in which Rachel told me the exact opposite of what turned out to be the case, Jia laughed in my face and said, "you really think we record all of those?!" Same issues with the movers working for Pioneer, including Rocky, whom I tipped generously and whose colleague I donated $350+ worth of clothes and children's toys to (for his kids). Fast forward to that "worst case scenario" Friday -- I had not heard a word and no one would pick up their phones. Finally I got through to someone and it turned out that my things were STILL IN TEXAS! Imagine my horror as I was in an empty apartment with no work clothes on FRIDAY NIGHT TO START WORK MONDAY MORNING only to be laughed at when I asked if they are getting close and told that my stuff was in Texas and they don't know when it'll make it to New York. I had to spend hundreds of dollars on new stuff. I spent my first week of my new job sleeping on an air mattress. To add salt to the wound, apparently there were at least 10 things that I had to be charged for that were not mentioned upfront. Then, there I was, day after day, waiting. Leaving MY NEW JOB early or in the middle of the day to go wait for movers who never showed up. Finally (I think it was the 5th day they had said that "Today is the day!!") they said they would be there at 9 AM. They finally showed up at 3 PM and were rude and awfully messy. The situation in the truck was simply inhumane. There were people sleeping on the floor. One of the guys told me that his friend John "picks him up" "every time he's in town." Imagine what happens if that guy hurts himself in your apartment. He doesn't work for either the broker or the subcontractor, so you are on the hook. This is the most disgusting, illegal operation I have ever seen in the United States.Of the boxes that did arrive, most were in pitiful condition. At least three of were bottomed out with half of the contents spilled and gone; others were obviously opened, rampaged through, and re-sealed; everything smelled terrible and was dusty. I spent the weekend washing and had to pay hundreds for professional cleaning of most of my clothes and linens, as well as my now ruined $6k couch. The day my things came, was so exhausted that I just wanted to sleep on a normal bed; only to start sneezing as soon as I touched the bed. I had explained to the agents that I had a TempurPedic mattress and Rachel promised a "free mattress cover" in addition to "all the general packing!" Guess how my mattress arrived. One sad plastic piece over it, entirely torn apart. So my mattress needed to be professionally cleaned. It took me a week to gather some energy because I fell physically sick from all the dirt and stress associated with the move.

Moving APT is a booking agent. The customer's move was serviced by Pioneer Moving and Storage. Moving APT takes a great deal of pride in our Customer Service and are unsure as to what the customer is referring to regarding the deceitful practices and rude customer service comments. Our Customer Service Manager has personally reached out to the customer in order to investigate the customer's issue with Pioneer's services, and so that we may step in and assist the customer with anything they may need.

Long-distance move from Tampa, FL to Boston, MA

Not a reputable company

I highly suggest you do not use this moving broker. They hire deplorable company's to move your products. They lie about their services and when you need assistance on a major issue, I had a manager literally say to me "take what we tell with a grain of salt".

They take no responsibility on your move and leave the liability between you and the moving company they hire.

They also attempt to take additional money just like a car dealers finance department in upselling services you don't need and when the company they hired comes to move your furniture they claim not to be aware of them.

The claims process is a joke so be prepared to get no restitution for the damages incurred from the mover APT hires.

I can literally fill up a full page of the issues we had with APT but my best advice is to never use them.

Stay away.

STAY AWAY!!

I was highly disappointed in the company that was selected to move. This company (First Choice) was totally unprofessional and caused my move to be very stressful. If I wasn't on a schedule to move, I would have told them to leave my house.

(1) The guy in charge of the move called us the day prior and told us to make the money order out to First Choice Movers, when they arrived at our house it was 6 PM and told us they couldn't accept the money order only cash. I had to waste about two hours calling backing and forward to the company to get the driver to accept the money. Then the driver call me a liar, that the owner said give them cash.

(2) one of the movers was playing music on his phone in which he would stop.

(3) We have move many times before and we know how the process should go. The movers did not have any inventory sheets or stickers. We had to fill out our own inventory sheet.

(4) they was fraudulent when the Uhaul was weighted out. They put fuel in the truck and stayed in while weighing it.

Service cost: $56000

Awful.

I wish it was possible to give them less than one star. Customer service representative deceived me to believe making an 8 hour delivery would not be an issue, and that my delivery would be made in the 13 days I gave them to deliver my items prior to starting work. I am 24 days in to my moving window. 0/15 at returning my calls/voice messages. Company in which they contracted to do the pick-up/drop off doesn't even have a website and tells me its not their problem APT told them having my items moved in an efficient manner wouldn't me an issue. First experience with a "professional" moving company and don't understand how they are even in business.

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

Worst moving company ever.

I should've read all of the horrible reviews before I let this company steal my money.

The estimate price doubled the original price that I was given, we rolled with it. The truck company wanted to break the lease by coming a day early and my stuff was not ready so I chose to change the pick up date. Then more "hidden fees" came along with handling a large box and having to go up a flight of stairs. Now, Danielle called to change the contract by moving the dates for pick up back, again we rolled with it. I checked the moving estimate and I realized there was another hidden fee. I called to see what the hidden fee was about and she blew me off and asked me to just sign the contract. My last straw with this company was when they said they wouldn't pick up my stuff because I was asking for 30 day storage.

This company has been the worst company I have ever dealt with. They lie! I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Now, it's making my military move as horrible as possible. I am currently on the road headed to my destination and my stuff is still back on base not knowing how I will get my stuff back.

My original down payment was $606 and it went up to $825. Which now they won't give my money back. And I will be making a police complaint about this.

Service cost: $2500

Sofia, please be advised that we are not a moving company. We do not have trucks. We do not do pick ups. And we do not have contracts with customers. Your contract is with your carrier. We are a booking agent. Please make sure you are reviewing the correct company.

Moving APT & Most Valuable Movers HORRIBLE!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Did I say HORRIBLE?!! If you value your money, you value NOT getting ripped off, deceived and lied to and you value your belongings and don't want them ALL being completely decimated, don't ever, ever, ever deal with Moving APT or Most Valuable Movers, ever! Where do I begin? First, let me state I'm disabled & on a fixed income & stated so to these people. I got off the phone with what in hindsight, appeared to be a decent moving company who was talking to me straight about what I had to do, I.e., not being able to leave anything in drawers, etc., and talked gto this woman at Moving APT ..I was wrong. First, I was not aware they are not a moving company, they are some type of broker. Anyway, she told me that I did not have to remove items from the drawers of my bureaus, perfect I thought and I started reloading everything back I had already taken out..she said I could put pillows and clothing back in, no books. Ok. I then proceeded to measure every single item I was to have shipped, took clothes out of luggage & repacked, put boxes and things in my dog crate, did exactly as she told me, which turned out be such a complete & total waste of time I desperately needed, and being disabled with Spondylolisthesis osteoarthritis in my spine and back, arthritis in both of my feet and wrist, this was a strain & very difficult, but we went over each and every thing that was being shipped & I was quoted a price, looked at the final inventory saw the final price $948 upon pick up $948 upon delivery with a $1045 deposited electronically I believe it was approximately that much. Ok then. This woman also made a point of telling me not to inform any of the moving companies who would probably still be calling that I had decided to go pick Moving APT because they would get mad and give out my personal information.. In hindsight now I realize that she only told me this so no one would inform me of the fact they were brokers and not an actual moving company.

I spoke with Mario at Moving APT and I told them I had some things that I already spoken to this woman, Veeka Marshall, about what I needed removed.. We went over the removed items and he said he was going to send me a list of everything, my revised final inventory and I was supposed to sign electronically. I never received it, even after asking again and again continually for it, but it never came. As a matter fact, I never personally received anything.

I left Philadelphia early Tuesday morning,10/20 got to Phoenix Arizona and waited for my belongings to be delivered. Early Wednesday morning 10/21, about 5:45 AM here in Phoenix Arizona I receive a phone call from the driver I could barely understand him, I didn't understand one thing & he was rude. I said ok, fine my ex will come to the house and you can load everything on the truck I said and it's going to be $948 now and another $948 upon delivery immediately he said no, no, no, no, no he said, I have to see first, I have to see first. Red warning lights and bells went going off in my head mediately because I knew I was about to get ripped off. That $948 suddenly jumped to $1,400 to pick up & another $1,400 to deliver before he even touched or weighed one thing.. I said no, absolutely not! I called Moving APT, who I still assumed was the moving company & was told by their rep I could get another driver.. Great, then my ex called said they were working it out.. I later found out they left behind and off many items that were on my list/final inventory and he still paid over $1,000 and I was extremely upset.. Then I was informed now it would be 7-21 days before they delivered anything and I went ballistic and demanded faster service. I still had no idea Most Valuable Movers was the actual company handling my items. Fast forward, received a phone from this driver on 10/29 saying the items they did manage to bring from Philadelphia to Phoenix will be delivered between 8 AM 11:00 AM on 10/30, they actually got here approximately 1:30 PM..that after calling Moving APT to find out when the items they did bring would actually arrive. He also stated that they needed to be paid with a postal money order, not just any money order but it had to be a postal money order in the amount of $1096, it couldn't be direct deposited, it couldn't be done electronically like it been done before, it had to be a postal money order. One of my kind neighbors, who is been a savior was able to drive me to a post office because I don't have a car here in Phoenix yet to get these two money orders because they only go $1,000. I then call Moving APT to find out exactly who these money orders were to be made out to, APT or Most Valuable Movers..

No one could tell me, I had to wait for the driver to get here to find out. I call most valuable movers but every time I call Most Valuable they never answer, you can't get through when you press 0 for the operator it goes right back to the recorded message. Again red warning lights went off.. The same driver arrived that I spoke to on the phone who had such a bad attitude and I could still barely understand.. First off the money orders had to be made out to him personally, strange..and he proceeded to tell me that they were normally charge $75 for more the seven steps.. Seven steps isn't even a staircase and I have 13, but he claimed to waive that fee. They left huge mounds of trash in front of my neighbors space, and even threw in their empty water bottles and trash for good measure.. This, after I asked him to walk a few steps over and place the stuff in the dumpster, but they refused..did I mention that I'm disabled?

Upon inspection of my belongings I was in tears cracked screen on 40 inch flatscreen television, busted lamps and shades, busted tower fan, completely busted out drawer of my nightstand in my bedroom when I opened it it fell down into the other drawer. They lost the screws to my headboard that no longer attaches, had the nerve to ask me if I had the screws.. I was in Phoenix when they themselves took the bed apart. I had to push my headboard against the wall and also I had put in screws that they neglected to tighten so my bed would not fall to the floor and/or put back in at all when they "put the bed back together" they got paid for and charged me for all this stuff. Scratches and bangs on just about everything in my bedroom. The metal plate to connect my sectional red sofa is broken also. I cannot count the number of broken dishes, art and other broken items, and I haven't even finished going through half of the boxes and crates. I will add pictures. They also charged me for packing things that were already packed they put some tape around the crates and boxes that were already taped and brought things that were taken off my final inventory. Plus, I still have my items I need desperately from my final inventory they left sitting in my house I just sold in Philadelphia. I need those items delivered to me ASAP and I fear this is another expense I'm going to incur because of these scam artists who are only out to take advantage of unsuspecting people. Also, upon looking for my paperwork and receipts, the driver stole my copies of everything off of my kitchen counter before he left.. It is absolutely no where to be found now. I friend sent me a news story Channel 5 in AZ in 2014 when they were caught red handed. Same, company same scams.. They apparently go by different names also. Moving APT attempted to offer $250. 00 for my troubles if I sign agreement and clam they're personally handing my clam for damages..I refused and I don't believe a word they say.. They're also threatened to not honor my damages because I don't have all the information and paperwork because their driver stole it. They have deceived, scammed, cheated and lied to me from the very beginning. Latest lie to the AZ Attorney General claiming this has been settled amicably.. Had to fax a letter letting them know his is another lie. Also, after 120 days waiting for the claim to be honored for my broken and destroyed items, I sent an email to find out what was going on only to be told it would take an additional 30 days because Most Valuable Movers was not sending the requested paperwork.. OH HECK NO! I had a meltdown.

HORRIBLE! Avoid at all costs!

MovingAPT and Most Valuable Movers were absolutely horrible! First off, they DID NOT SHOW UP or even call on the day that my move was scheduled, and I couldn't get a hold of customer service because they wouldn't pick up my calls. When my boyfriend eventually called (from his phone!) they said they would come the next day. However, I still had to clean my apartment, so it set me back significantly, and I ended up losing money from my security deposit because I simply didn't have time to clean. When they finally did show up, the movers were rude and literally FORGOT a bunch of my stuff. Like they just didn't pack it, so I had to leave it behind, because I had no way to transport it several states away. They also broke most of my glass, even though I wrapped it up, so it had to be thrown away.

It was one of my most stressful and awful experiences of my life, and I strongly encourage anyone considering using them to reconsider!

Lisa, please be advised that we are a booking agent, not a moving company. We do not "show up" anywhere because again we are not a moving company.. we do not have trucks or drivers. We were not the company you spoke with or who wasn't answering your calls. We do not have movers, and again, we do not handle any items of any customer. Therefore, we are not the company you are referring to who broke items. Please make sure you are reviewing the correct company.
